October 4 | 4:30–8:30 PM | Limited to 16 Guests
Two experiences. One unforgettable evening.
Join us at Blackstone River Glass Center for a special four-hour experience combining Mahjong by the river with the heat and excitement of hands-on glassblowing.
This intimate event is limited to just 16 participants, divided into two groups of eight. At 4:30 PM, one group will head into the Hot Shop for glassblowing while the other settles in by the Blackstone River for a Mahjong lesson with Amy Abrams. At 6:30 PM, the groups switch, so everyone gets the full experience.
🔥 Your Glassblowing Experience
During your two hours in the Hot Shop, your group of eight will be divided into two teams of four. This isn't just about making your own piece—you'll work together, helping one another through the glassmaking process with guidance from our instructors.
When it's your turn at the furnace, choose what you're in the mood to make:
🎃 Blown Glass Pumpkin
🥣 Blown Glass Bowl
🥃 Blown Glass Cup
No need to decide ahead of time—you can choose your project that evening.
Your finished glass will need time to cool slowly in our annealing ovens and will be available for pickup beginning the following Wednesday.
🀄 Your Mahjong Experience
Settle in by the river for a two-hour Mahjong session led by Amy Abrams.
