In this 2–3 hour workshop, students will learn how to prepare enamel painting mixtures by combining powdered mineral and metal oxide with a non-drying oil, creating the perfect consistency for smooth application. Working on an enameled surface, you'll use brushes and painting techniques to build depth, shading, and fine details while discovering how colors may change during firings.
You'll also learn the importance of proper powder-to-oil ratios, how to control the flow of the enamel for different effects, and the techniques used to seal your painted design before firing to preserve the artwork throughout the enameling process.
