Glassblowing Preparation List
Safety is our Number One Priority at Blackstone River Glass Center
This list will help you prepare for your class. It is a simple checklist of what to bring to class.
We look forward to meeting you soon!.
Please come prepared with the following:
1. Protective Eyewear- Eye glasses or Sunglass are fine (We do have some safety glasses at the studio)
2. Cotton Clothing. Please no synthetics or polyester
3. Close Toe Shoes ONLY. No Sandals, Flip-Flops, etc. Please no heels.Â
4. A H2o bottle to stay hydrated. We have a Water Cooler.
5. Long sleeve pants ( cotton leggings are OK ).Â
6. Long hair should be tied back.
7. A Smile! Most importantly, we want everyone to have fun and create lasting memories that they look back on fondly.
Basically, we want you to be comfortable. Layers are great for when the weather gets warmer. You may sweat because you will be working in front of furnaces and ovens at 2000 degrees. If you forget any of these things, do not worry. We got you! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks.
