Intermediate Flameworking: Sculpture
Ready to turn up the torch? This intermediate flameworking class is designed for students who are comfortable with the flame and eager to level up. Whether you're aiming to work more independently or sharpen specific skills, this class will push your technique and expand your creative toolkit.
Pre-req: Prior flameworking experience required. Open to current BRGC flame shop renters or outside flame workers who have at least one year flameworking experience. Ages 18+.
Over a series of structured drills and guided projects, you’ll explore:
July 5th Week One: –Basic clear sculpture
(turtles, fish, birds)
We will work on welds, pulling even points for limbs and portioning.
July 12th Week Two– Basic clear sculpture
(monsters, animals, bugs)
We will work on not boiling color, deep heats and good connections.
July 19th Week Three – Basics of working hollow
We will work on making round bottoms, blowing bubbles, connections, welding different size tubing and pulling hollow points.
July 26th Week Four – Coil Potting sections (One color)
We will work on coiling on clear or pure color.
